It occurred to me recently that my line of work has prepared me for undercover spy operations in the world’s most secret of secret organizations because I can understand language that is so foreign it belongs to no known country and so unique it is developed instantly as one speaks. (ex: “I dood it last tomorrow.”) In addition to that, I have the unique ability to decipher the most complex of codes. How? You ask. I’ll tell you how…
My young students have learned the sounds of the alphabet. They are now writing phonetically and I have no difficulty deciphering their prose. Therefore, if I can read their tiny yet significant communiqués, I am certain I can decode the meaning of any super secret spy correspondence.
I think I’ll be a spy.
If you can read the following, you can become a spy. Just like me.

Hi Ms. Terri!
Secret Code 1. is -
(dr moly cn u b at mi prty ncxt tim)
Dear Emily, can you be at my party next time?
(You’d be surprised at how many people thought it was written to a Dr. Moley.)
And, Harold and Daryl went around the spiral staircase.

I’ve got “can you be at my party next time,” but I thought it was “Dear Molly.” I have NO idea what else that could be!
2 is easy peasy: I want to be line leader.
3 – Harold and Daryl went down the spiral staircase??
